From depth and joy to strategy and commitment...

After a strong and beautiful month, we are now scattered like seeds across the planet… as I write people are flying back to Kenya, to Mexico, to Palestine… while others continue on fundraising or musical tours in Europe. Our last week was dedicated to harvest, integration and vision… looking at what happened during this time, and our next steps. We listened deeply into each project, what is needed and wished for their own projects and the Global Campus as a whole. Bernd Mueller of Tamera’s Institute of Global Ecology, met with the different projects for detailed consultation. We worked on the development of our ‘Ethical Guidelines’, asking what are the values and principles that are common among all projects of the Global Campus. In the subject of Economy, we discussed how we can share the responsibility for fundraising for future events, and learned how each project deals with money. In the end, we formed the Global Campus council, one or two representatives from each base station stepping forward as representatives. We will continue to meet every month by Skype to guide the next steps of the network and education. The time was very moving, and our hearts were stretched by the stories and the wisdom that came through so many people. During our closing circle Rocio from Mexico said: “The first thing that happened was we really felt the pain… from really feeling and seeing pain, creative action can come. This is what the Global Campus does. Trust the process, and be patient so that we can make this evolutionary jump and find out how to act. We will find a way to support, to water the seeds already planted in the earth.” Nuno, from Portugal said to the group “I am really happy to be shaped by all of you”. We began to feel what it means to belong to a planetary community, and what it means to become a planetary being. In his final words, Claudio Miranda from Brazil said: “We are here for a motive we can’t imagine. We are part of a change that started a long time ago, it did not begin with my father or my father’s father… When we are clear what we are, that we were born to serve and make a change, then everything becomes easy”. In the next weeks will be published our final report with pictures and a full report on each base-station, including the results and next steps for our network of cooperation for a future more humane for all next generations of humans and animals. Stay tuned!
